Reopening of Kintore Railway Station

To ask the Scottish Government what progress is being made toward the reopening of Kintore railway station.
Answered by Keith Brown (20/02/2014): As specified in the Scottish Government’s High Level Output Specification (HLOS) in 2012, Kintore Station forms part of phase one of the Aberdeen to Inverness Rail Improvements Project.Delivery of phase one is anticipated to begin in 2016 and will be completed by 2019. Kintore Station will only be able to operate after completion of the necessary substantial track and signalling enhancements between Aberdeen and Inverurie. Network Rail will work with promoters on the development of the station and construction timescales and to secure third-party funding.
